Definitely a different perspective. Interesting contrast but I am not sure the vertical green branch is the best way to show the contrast. Perhaps havng the green branch in a horizontal mode might have been more effective. IMHO.

I tend to agree with Selvin. A diagonal orientation of the branch and leaves might be interesting. I like the way the subject is in sharp focus but the background of fall folliage is just a blur.

I may not be a pro, but I really don't see a problem with the shot the way it is.Kinda gives me the idea of a miniture tree growing up among all the orange and yellow dieing out. Buy maybe that's just me.
