Interesting shot. It seems odd to me that the caterpillar would have the eggs attached to its skin. Do you know anything about this species?

Tomato Hornworm that is controlled by a little tiny wasp: the braconid wasp. These baby wasps are parasites on the hornworm. The adult wasp lays its eggs in the tiny caterpillar. As the caterpillar grows, the wasp larvae eat it from the inside. Then they come through the skin and form a pupa case on the outside. After a few weeks the caterpillar is a goner.
