Here is my first attempt at a photo challenge as I've only had my new camera for a few days. Thinking about the challenge gave me a great new perspective at the zoo. It made a boring turkey become quite interesting. I'm completely new to any kind of photography

I hope this photo meets the requirements. I like the way the two trees frame the body of the turkey but the small branches gave a little extra framing to his face.

Welcome to the group. We are composed of a motley crew sharing our photos and skills with each other. Experience levels span everything from beginners like yourself to those of us that have thousands of bad photos and a few good ones.

You've certainly got the framing business right. I think you'll love using your new Sony for our challenges.

Looks like a great specimen of the American Wild Turkey. Can you imagine, this fellow was once promoted by Ben Franklin as the National bird of the USA!

For some turkey trivia try: http://www.saskschools.ca/~gregory/thanks/tkyinfo.html

I, also, would like to welcome you aboard. I echo Selvin's comments and would add that this is not a competition. There are no winners or losers. Actually, by sharing our photos and getting comments from forum members, we are all winners.

I like this photo. It is a little bit cluttered but a good shot of the turkey, nonetheless.
