This is al local state park. There is a nice easy 2 mile walkway around a small lake. You are almost always going to see some deer and most times turkeys.

Although this shot is sharp with well saturated colors, the composition bothers me. I think part of the problem is that the footbridge is dead center but it doesn't fill the frame. If you look at the whole composition, the bridge and the bank on the other side form a "T" which fills only about 60% of the frame. The rest is sky.
I think I would have made a horizontal shot out of this and shot from lower down toward the bridge deck. This would create a more dramatic view of the bridge while still showing the bank behind. It would also significangly reduce the amount of sky. Cal |

So, Gilligan's Island actually had a footbridge to the mainland. Maybe they didn't want to be rescued after all. Nice shot, but I go with Cal on the horizontal suggestion.

One of the things I like about this shot is the sky and single cloud on the top right. I do also see your point that there is too much of it. When I revisit this area I will try a lower/wider angle. Mugmar |
