Just got back from a fantastic vacation to the Yucatan peninsula. This centote was one of the stops. The water depth is around 50 meters (160 feet) It's a sink hole cut out of the limestone bedrock by underwater rivers. Muy Benito!

Walter and mcliu, thank you very much for your comments.
It was magical, for sure. My biggest challenge here was hoping my camera would stop fogging up in time for some shots. The tour bus was well air-conditioned and when I stepped outside into the heat to take pictures my lens immediately fogged up. Good thing I always carry a micro-fiber cloth with me. It got good use for the first 15-20 minutes of our stop.

Here is a slightly foggy shot. Gives it a kind of mystical quality, don't you think?

When I first looked at this, I thought that was water dropping into the pool but then I realized it was vines or roots. Beautiful shots.

Wow, that is just...........wow. O_O I'm speechless.

Truely amazing shot! Could you see through the water? I was wondering as in most waters that are that brilliant a blue are clear. Love the second image with the people swimming. Showed us how BIG the place was!

Aloha 'oe

Thank you Jami.

Yes, the water was very clear and very deep. Here is a link to some more pictures I put in another post.
Thanks for looking,

Mahalo,
Steve
