The reflections are what make this shot work for me. Nice symmetry. Were I to change anything, it would be to crop a little bit of sky.

Lovely shot. Although, I agree with Trojansc. I love the reflection in the water and would crop some of the sky.

perhaps, but it i crop the sky and lose the blue in the sky it becomes very flat and featureless?? I think perhaps it needs compressing or cut a bit out the middle of the sky?

I like this shot but I agree with the comments already made.
Here is an idea that is not acceptable for this forum but might make a great photo. Very carefully select the sky and do a flood fill of sky blue with a vertical gradient, light at the bottom and dark at the top. I have done this a couple times and it really added some pizazz (sp?) to the photo. The really tricky part is masking around the various trees and bushes at the horizon line. If you are interested in learning a new technique, play around with this concept. Make sure you save the original! Cal |
