Had you been a young adult 70 years ago, these two images would have been quite familiar. Here is a 1937 Chevrolet sedan. No color choice to speak of (black only?). Note the "air conditioner unit" on the rear window.

Hanging in the rear window is a US Army uniform. The hanger is from a Las Vegas hotel. Some car collectors go to great lengths to restore their vehicles to original specs, and to provide some historical elements.

The car is vintage but I don't think the "air conditioner" is. I think those were introduced in the 50s.

I like the extra touch of the window frame clothes hanger and the old radio..seen in the back seat of that old Chevy.
Looks like a car on the set of the movie 'Bugsy' , starring Warren Beatty. |
