This was shot a number of years ago and has a sad story to go with it.

These pumpkins were on display in front of a family owned country grocery store. Some time after this shot was taken, the store was robbed and the owner shot and killed. The family tried to keep the store operating for another year but it finally closed. It was a nice store and only about a mile from where we lived at the time. We would would go there from time to time to get the items we missed at the big supermarkets. A sad loss for the community.

I've noted this shortcut recently and wonder what the purists think.

Thanks for sharing.
