There have been some truly outstanding shots of candles posted....outstanding enough that I was stuck trying to come up with something that would not simply echo earlier choices. Then, I remembered this shot I took a couple of weeks ago at the botanical garden's light show.
![]() As I looked at the candle, I realized that light sculptures are a legitimate form of sculpture, so I pulled this one up. ![]() BTW, a tip of the cap to Cal. After I had posted some images taken during my first visit this month to the gardens, he suggested changing my white balance settings to tungsten for shooting Christmas lights. The combination of that change and my new DA*50-135 lens gave me FAR better shots on the second trip. |

Very nice. I may go out tonight and photograph some lights if it's not raining. There are a lot of beautiful displays just a short distance from my home.
