This is another clock hanging in my parents house. Each hour the clock sings the song of the bird of the appropriate hour. (sorry for the noise, the camera was set at ISO 1600 for some reason:angry:)

That is a neat clock. I have a sister who loves birds and she would like this clock.

This type of clock is great for teaching children about birds. After looking at this clock for a couple minutes I realized I had one in a very similar style hanging above my desk. I had never thought to photograph it. It shows a railroad motif.

In my fathers later years he became obsessed with clocks. They were all over the house. It was easy buying him something for any occasion. Another clock. The bird clock you have posted is EXACTLY the same one I gave him on one of those occasions. It works very well. Even at night when all is dark that little button over the 12 is a sensor which turns the sounds off until the light of day. This reminds me of another clock I gave him. It was stainless steel balls which moved along ramps. You could read the time by the number of balls at the bottom. It was pretty clever and an unusual design.

My mother-in-law had one of these in her home, and I suspect we may have it somewhere in the stuff we cleaned out of her house. I feared to look for it, afraid that my wife would want to hang it in our bedroom, and hers did NOT have the sensor that would turn off the sound at night,

Gee Paul WITHOUT the sensor the clock should be hung in the garage as an educational instrument. hahahaha

Another very interesting clock. I'd love to hear it for ONE day at least.

My railroad clock has separate batteries for the sound which are normally removed. Every hour on the hour, it plays the sound of a large steam train pulling into the station and it is LOUD!!
