I am a big fan of black and whites. I shoot alot of them. I just find color boring sometimes.:G

Pj,
Excellent BW shots. I grew up learning about photography using BW and appreciate it' s features equally as well as those of color. The shot with both of you exudes a warmth that compliments your strong bond, As noted before some very good techincal characteristics in both shots and the clarity of the 1.8 lens shines thru. Thanks for sharing with us. |

Hello Selvin,
Thanks for your valued comments, including your true observation of the warmth within that the photo of my wife and myself!! :| Yes, there are many people like yourself who grew up learning photography with B&W... a number of my uncles and other friends did too. I think you're spot on- both colour and b&w have special features. I'm looking forward to trying to use my 50mm f1.8 some more, even if I need to take several shots to get the one where the focus is spot on... it's not a consistently focussing lens on my camera. Aloha Paul |
