I know you dont like me touching your pics Walter, but I only do it for illustrative purpose only. I get an idea, then I work on it and if it turns out ok I use it. I think this alteration works, but there are two looks to your expression. I cant decide which I like best.

Itīs correct. But no more than correct.
The problem with self portraits is the 'self'. When somebody else makes a portrait of you, will usually see and reveal something different, something interesting you didn't see or presume about yourself.
For instance: i would ask you to stop smiling and trying to show yourself as a polite person.

Next time you take a self portrait Walter think of this. A most beautiful woman is on stage. She is the center of attention and desired by all. But you know her charms and most intimate details about her. As you sit there a friend leans over and declares how beautiful and desirable she is. Now that look in your face, the glint in your eye with a slight wrinkled smile and add the smirk to that. The all knowing smirk. Now that would make a nice photo.
