Default New Challenge: The moon April 1- 14

For this challenge submit photos of the moon, either actual photos or representations of the moon as one might see in logos, patterns, etc.

This challenge makes me mad!! We had a full lunar eclipse visible from my location a few years back. I got photos of the entire sequence from the beginning shadow to the bright orange of the total eclipse. However, they are all blurred. If you want, I can show a couple of the shots with the caveat that they are not sharp. Let me know.

Default The Moon: "Fly me to the moon..."

I was down at the beach a few evenings back and snapped this photo of a kite below the moon. Reminded me of the song.

Cal - you can always re-shoot it tomorrow morning, if your weather cooperates. The total eclipse portion won't last long though. It's late enough in the morning that I'm not sure I can see it without going somewhere else, and I think all the appropriate dirt roads around me are still closed for the winter (even though we haven't had much winter). I think the moon might be behind a ridge before it gets to the full eclipse.
