VERY effective capture my friend. At first I thought it was a rock the baby was on, and then I realized it was the mother :shock:

Wow - what a wonderful opportunity to photograph this! I am impressed. Nicely done, too, stacked in opposite directions. How did you get them to do that?

I'm still trying to figure out what monkey said....must be that backwards writing stuff has her confused again...anyway, nice shot.

LOL I'm such an idiot - I thought the baby was facing the body of the Mama. :roll: I guess I am just warped all the way around.

And I was being facetious when I asked how you got them to do that.

Thanks so much for all the positive comments. This is the first time I have posted any photo's, have been kind of shy about it. I was a very active amateur back in high school (Nixon was Prez) Just got back into it a couple years ago with a 3 MP Olympus. Bought the Nikon last summer for a trip to Sydney and absolutely love it.

where you in a boat for this shot? cuz i'm not sure i'd want to get that close to a mother and her babies......especially when that mother is an ALLIGATOR! lol

I was walking on a bank about four feet up from the water. Lets me get pretty close, without feeling threatened. I was using a 1.5X extender on my Nikon 5700 (420mm approx) So not as close as it looks.
