Tom, here's a great of example of why it's better to be late than never. It's doubtful I need say anything about this photo. It says it all.

Vito, It isn't really a sense you say!But you get a feeling of fear you say, did you sense that fear by viewing the image? If you sensed fear then I would have to say that my picture is a success.

well indirectly.....i'm afraid of heights...so looking at the picture i remembered wat it was like to do that at the grand canyon....then feeling fear...so yes this picture is very much a success....great job!
also....fear itself isn't a sense....but "feeling" fear is...so definately a successful picture! great!

When I look at this picture I get a huge sense of empty-headed exitement. I can remember being at the Grand Canyon, looking over the edge... past the railings. The feelings of fear my parents must have felt for me, almost hanging off the edge.
Great Photo

This is truly weird. I was sure that this morning when I first responded to this photo, it was posted for the contrasts challenge, not the senses. :?

It definitely succeeeded in that particular way, but the challenge is to evoke one of the other four senses, and fear is not one of them.

Default Physical Senses

Tomsch:

The image is outstand and does give a sense of the grand canyon or a sense of awe or fear or perhaps lack of good sense but does it meet the challenge of portraying taste, touch, sound, or smell, in a way that grabs the viewer?

Subject, composition and technically, I like your image and it speaks highly of your ability as a photographer. Although I am a little short of time these days. I found the last challenge and this challenge to be difficult for me. Perhaps it is my shooting style and/or lack of time. Barbara's challenges are well thought out and are not easy to meet them.

Kind Regards,

rod
