Unfortunately now that I've posted this it appears to me the bit of green edge left on the leavesis the standout as opposed to the red.

Nice shot. I don't know anything about plants, do these gradually change colour like that. It looks like they've been partly dipped in paint. :-)

that is true kayd....but it is a nice picture.....

i have to get picky to find anything wrong with it...and the only thing i could find, is that you cut of the VERY tip of the one leaf, far right, kinda toward the bottom....

nice shot kayd!

Suzan, that's a really nice photo, and though the green does seem to be the standout, it's the surrounding red that makes it so. I spent some time staring at the picture and finally realized that the green attracts the eye first because it's isolated within the red, but then the eye wanders over to the spiral of red leaves, which is where I assume you meant the center of interest to be. I think you accomplished just what you meant to accomplish.

This is a very fine shot. But unlike barbara, the red is what first drew my eyes to it. Is this male/female thing? women go to green, men to red?

If so, I'm a man. Green is definately my favorite color but I was really drawn to this red. Nicely glossy.

Well, if by your picture, you are one of the best looking man I have ever seen.
