Color is great, composition is great, but I'm going to say to you what Vito said to me about my own contribution. You need more shadow to create more depth. Since this is a setup shot that can be repeated, you might give a try to how and when you position the basket for outdoor light. Morning or afternoon light has the sunlight coming in at more of a slant, and this slant can make it so the light isn't quite reaching the bottom of the basket. Just to see the effect I'm talking about, bring the basket inside and, with a flashlight, observe how the scene seems to change depending on the angle of light.

I went on and on here because this is a perfect setup for playing with the most important part of photography: light.

i agree with barbara...

maybe take it in the dark with a single flashlight pointed at it (long shutter speed)....

great colors though
