Well, you can call it an abstract if you like, but I think it's the optical illusion of a knife edge ridge, experienced by the fighter pilot flying along the valley , slightly upside down, and with one wing pointing at the sky, and one at the lake. The RAF does that sort of thing in Snowdonia and Scotland.

Let's hope his fly-by-wire has been upgraded with the latest XP service pack.
