This Romanescu cauliflower leapt off the shelf and found me in my local supermarket today, begging to be photographed.

That's really odd! If you look at the top half of the picture it looks like a line of flowers or something rolling off into the distance.

Great subject, great shot...love the illusion of distance even though I know it is tall and not long...REALLY nice....

Not only an edible fractal, showing self similarity at different levels of magnitude (Note each bud is an identical copy of the whole one level of magnitude higher and this continues down the scale), but also one of the best examples of a Fibonacci sequence in the spirals similar to those in the centre of many flowers and particularly visible in sunflowers.
