We went to two different Oregon beaches today just to get away. We went to Canon Beach, OR and Seaside, OR. At Canon Beach, it was raining slightly and overcast. We walked on the beach anyway, to exercise our dog and enjoy ourselves. Nothing extraordinary found! At Seaside, about ten miles North of Canon Beach, the sun was shining but we found some disturbing things that were not expected. A large group of crabs had apparently washed up on the beach and were then killed and eaten, presumably by sea birds. We also found a dead seal washed up on the beach.

Here are two pictures from the beach at Seaside. Warning--These are somewhat graphic.

Nikon D100, Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 lens.

These are not pretty but they fit the challenge perfectly.

I agree, and you are right in saying it fits the catagory perfectly. The world of imaging isn't always about newborns and sunsets.
