What do you mean, "Natures Carpentry"? You found the evidence of my attempt to cut down a tree with a small hatchet! I am going to have hide my woodsmanship more carefully! :lol: :lol:

All seriousness aside, nice find. Did you see any dams or colonies in the vicinity. It would be interesting to see those also, perhaps in the Wildlife forum. Thanks for the picture.

Bob, other than the fact that I couldn't figure out whether to laugh at the beaver or cry for the tree, this is a wonderful illustration. It gives detailed evidence of what's sitting just outside the picture frame.

Cal has a good point in mentioning the other parts of this story. If you took a photo of a beaver's high-rise apartment building, one of the pond formed by the dam, and if at all possible, one of the little rascal himself, you'd have aphoto essay.
