Ok... My son graduated 4th grade today and we went to the butterfly garden in the school courtyard right afterward, just him and I. We were walking and talking when I saw this. He was showing me all the neat things that the classes had planted and he had taken me to see if maybe I could take a pretty picture of a butterfly. Kids think you can do anything, it's so refreshing. Anyway, I look up at the vines on the gate and see this little treasure.

It's a flower I have never seen in my life. They grow upside down and look like bugs wearing tutus.

Oooo... ooo... I think I found it.

Lovely flower - I don't know it either. Your description of it is great, and really sets off the photo nicely "they grow upside down look like bugs wearing tutus". So they do! Lovely!

P.S. Have just seen the passionflower link. Most appropriate, for a tutu wearing flower.

Very interesting flower Jane, I like it. Nice capture, I like the shadowing on the bottom purple leaves. Well Done!

Best regards,
