Taking night shots of the moon along with other objects is a serious challenge. Our eye has such a tremendous exposure latiude that we overlook its magnificence and are disappointed when our cameras don't match its capability.

Look at the following shot and the EXIF. Again the A200 anti-shake works wonders since this is handheld. More importantly look at the moon at top right. You cant see any features although I easily saw the man in the moon with my eyes. 1/2 sec is simply too long an exposure for a moon shot even at f11.

Intresting shot but I think I would clone the moon out of it. The exposure on the building and sky is perfect but the moon is blown out and looks like someone took a paper punch and punched a hole in the picture. I just looked at a histogram of the image and it mostly hugs the gutter except a little spike to the top on the right edge. This confirms that the moon is overexposed.

It would be interesting to do a separate shot of the moon, zoomed in more, darken it a bit and paste it in where the moon shows in this picture.

This is my opinion which may not necessarily agree with the masses!

You read my mind. I did take another shot of the moon that was correctly exposed and was now going to paste it over the other moon....
