Wow Meryl, that is really somethin'!!! I get nauseous just thinking about being in that person's shoes! Lately, I've had a real problem with heights....as I found out by taking my kids to see Helmcken Falls.

Anyways, your image is a good find...you don't normally see something like that happening right over the midway.

Great shot! I wouldn't want to be in his place if he fell. Those wires and cables below him really look menacing! It might just be the angle and they may not be a problem at all.

Most of the cables you see are support lines for the main wire...to prevent it swaying in the wind. This gives a better view of the support wires.

I like both of these photos! The first really shows how high that guy is and the second photo with the wires under him really adds information and texture to the picture. I wonder how old he'll live to be?!??Great job!

He did all this without a net either...as shown by this shot that I took right underneath him as he walked.

I think that's Jay Cochrane. I knew him years ago and he has always performed without a net. And he ain't no spring chicken either.
