In most every city or town, there is/are unusual buildings or other structures. There are buildings with odd shapes, cars sticking out of the side of buildings, buildings made to look like something else. The idea applies not only to buildings but also to other structures outside or inside of buildings. Display gardens often have bushes or flowers trimmed in animal or other shapes. Is this not a form of architecture.

Interior decorating is a form of architecture. Are there any buildings in your town with unusual features inside. An example is a restaurant decorated like a diner from the 30s. There are buildings with big holes designed into them to allow train tracks or streets the pass through.

Your assignment is to find, photograph, and post photos of unusual (Odd) buildings, unusual adornments on buildings or any other odd architectural forms.

Please put "Architectural Oddities" in your subject line when posting.

Here are some examples:

The first looks like a modern style home. Look closer. It is actually a flat, false front for a mobile home used as the office for a new housing development.

Here is a different view:

Good luck and have fun.
