This was taken at a salmon rearing pond that has fallen into disuse.

Intresting for sure since I can't recall seeing pictures of these but oddity, who knows maybe Cal does.

Architectural, yes. Antique, yes. Interesting, yes. Odd, I don't think so.

The "pyramid" appears to be a hill in Washington.

Selvin, fish ladders are very common on rivers with dams on the US mainland. There are several large dams on the Columbia River and each of them has one or more fish ladders. Some are quite complex. They allow the Salmon to swim upstream past the dams to their spawning grounds.
