Here is what has to be the strangest, the wierdest, the oddest building in the Pacific Northwest. It is the "Experience Music Project" located in Seattle Center righ next to the Space Needle. It was built by Paul Allen, owner of the Portland Trailblazers and (I think!) the Seattle Seahawks, as a memorial to rock and roll music. It is a combination museum and performance center and it is wierd.
The only place to photograph the entire building is from above. On the ground, you can only see about 20% of it at one time. The monorail train built for the Seattle World's Fair runs the middle of the building. Actually, the building was constructed around the monorail. You can see the monorail tracks in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th shots. The first three photos show just small portions of the building. The fourth is taken from the observation deck of the space needle, hence the guard rails. The last is a satellite photo obtained from Microsoft's Terraserver map server website. Wow..pretty impressive building. It looks like each section is wrapped in cloth.

No cloth. The whole thing is skinned in sheet metal.

I like the view from space, as it makes it look like a little plastic toy after a little boy had finnished playing with matches or a magnafying glass.
