Hi, I noticed that my S1 is missing the black spot at the bottom of the battery lid - indicating that I may not have the latest software in?
How many of You have updated the Firmware Update and what benefits have You noticed? |

The most noticeable thing for me is that it stops the freezing of the display in Continuous AF Mode.

The latest firmware update is 1.0.2.0. Definitely worth doing; fixes lcd freeze and clearly improves low-light focussing

How and where you do get the Firmware update? My S1 has no black spot on the battery cover either. Can you look in the camera menus anywhere to determine the the software in it?
Thanks, Chris |

You have to install Zoombrowser, the software which comes with the camera; connect the camera, start Zoombrowser and look under CAMERA, Camera Settings; it will give you the firmware version
