i wouldn't worry about the movie stitch issue. if you want to grap a pic from movies & don't want to disturb your movie,you can always do that on the computer. but the good thing about movie snap is that you can take high resolution still photo during movie recording. you only loose a fraction of a sec of your movie recording anyway. on the movie resolution, of course it is not as good as dvd. it has VGA resolution (640x480) 30 fps, which is not bad & on a normal TV. good enough for me (though i wish for mpeg4 format for it's file size). i think dvd resolution is 720Xxxx.
