A40 vs A80 Low Light Focus Performance

I have an A40 and am contemplating going to an A80. My primary problem with the A40 is focusing in low light, like in a museum, without a tripod or somewhere to rest the camera. The A80 would seem to be more capable in hand held low light situations due to various improvements in AF and other circuitry. Does anyone have any actual experience with these cameras, or the A60/70, that would give me an idea of performance improvements.

I have both the a40 and a70. The a70 has a greatlly improved low light focus ability (at least mine does). It gets a focus lock faster and much more reliablly. I have compared them side by side and in conditions where the a40 might get a good focus lock 3 out of 10 times, the a70 will get a good focus lock 9 or 10 times out of 10.
My guess would be that the a80 would at least compare with the a70 for focus capibility but I cannot say for sure. The a80 will give you beter low light performance as far as less noise at higher iso that the a40 or the a70.
