Hello, my LCD screen opens several degrees short of 180 making it difficult to line up shots like I was used to with my A640. Question is, are they all like this or is mine defective? Think I can get it to open all the way if I file/cut a little plastic away.
thanks -c |

I don't own the 650is but I remember reading a thread on some forum where this exact issue was being discussed. On some people's 650's the display would open 180 degrees, on some other's it was blocked by some plastic and didn't open quite all the way. I forget what the solution was, but maybe if you do some digging on the internet you might find this thread. I tried but couldn't find this thread again. Sorry.

Well, I can't find any answers. Called Canon tech support and got a guy that could only repeat "send it in" over and over. Said he has never heard of this problem before, but then "I'm only one of 300 techs, 200 of the other techs may have heard this before". When asked if there is some database that he draws from he says NO and starts getting all defensive, repeating "send it in" a few more times.
So, should I just whittle some plastic away and solve the problem myself or......? -c |
