A80 record sound or not ??

Can you tell me if the A80 records sound when you use the video mode ?? Also can you tell me what resolution the video is when recording and is it a continous record as long as you have a large memory card.
What is the largest memory card you can get for the A80 ??

Yes it can do sound.

Video Res I believe is 320x240 (like the a60)

Video clips are usually to a maxium of 3mins, no matter what size card you use.

Largest card it can take... I dont see why it wouldnt take anything that a CF type 1 card can dish out....though that being said, I believe it wont go over 2gb (CF type 2 I believe are the Fat32 cards which can go past 2gb)

Gimli, it's an honour, I'm a big fan.

I'm a newbie looking to purchase the A80 but concerned that it can only record 3 mins at a time. I was told that if I get a bigger card, that I can record more continuously...guess not.

What about the video quality of the A80?

I originally wanted to buy a digital camcorder but couldn't justify the cost given the lack of quality of the stills. So now I'm looking at a DC hoping to find one with good video features.

Btw, I used to spend my summers out in BC working at a camp in the Okanagan just outside Kelowna. Seeing as I'm from T.O., I wish I could've had my DC while I was out there...
