I was wondering if it was worth returning my A80 to get the G5. Any opinions on the two? Thanks.

Hi
I have the A80 and it is a superb camera. There are some issues with the G5 to watch out for like Purple Fringing and noise above iso50. I just love the A80! |

if you want to make use of the 5mp for large print, and all the other features G5 has to offer, go for it. G5 does have far more options than the A80, but stick to that A80 if you are just going for casual use, as it is smaller in size.

I print 11x17 prints from my A80 and many people cant tell if they are from the A80 or my G2. A lot of it has to do with just how good your printer is.Tealblue

They both have a lot of manual control available. The G5 gets you a little more MP, a longer zoom. The biggest thing the G5 has over the A80 is a hot shoe.
