I want to upload video shot on a video camera back onto an SD card so that it can play on the S2 IS. (I know you are wondering why I want to do so but it's for a film)

I suppose it all has to do with codecs and formating because when I foolishly just try to do so the camera cannot recognise the file.

Is it possible to fiddle with the AVI so that it plays?

It seems like a silly question but I do have a reason for doing so

Thanks for reading this far!

It can be done, I seem to remember it has something to do with making sure that the folder along with the file and the thumbnail image are included. Sorry I can't be more specific. If you post the question at dpreview.com in the Canon forum someone may remember a more specific solution.
