I've heard it only gets a little over 100 shots per charge set.
How have you done? Please offer any complaints about this camera. I know it is mostly great! Thanks, Shawn |

Battery consumption with my A95 is decent. I can probably get 200 shots with one charge out of 1800mAh batteries. I use the LCD all the time and let the camera flash when it wants to, so I would say battery consumption is not a problem with the A95.
What is a problem is red-eye. With this camera I've managed to get red-eye on everyone of a group of 10 children sitting in a little train in an interior shot. Quite incredible. This camera produces red-eye in subjects over 4 meters away, very impressive. I have gotten used to using Photoshop for removing red-eye, although I am getting quite fed up with it. Otherwise, no complaints. I like the dial on top for choosing the programs, very fast and convenient (no menu's) and the manual settings are a bonus. Cheers, Ludo |

What/how do you check to get the good ones? Are the rest OK to use, or defective?

Sorry I haven't replied earlier.
I use a tester made up ofa plastic holder that takes 4 AA batteries (Tandy have them), connected to a large electrical load -ideally one that draws around 1000mA. Ifound a 25W 12 voltquartz light bulb to be ideal. The lamp glows dully and after around 30 secs I check the voltage accross each battery. The good ones will show around 1.1 volts, the bad ones under 0.5 volts. It works well for me. |
