Hey all!
I'm looking for a nice pocket camera and I was thinking of the Canon A530. Although I had a question about it. Does it have the option to shoot in a 3:2 aspect ratio? I know it does 16:9, but I'm not sure about 3:2. Any help is appreciated! |

Well that kind of sucks, here I was thinking I had finally found my ideal pocket camera... do any other cameras in the A series shoot 3:2? Or does Canon in general just not do it?

I don't believe any of the A-series does 3:2.
The whole ratio thing is sort of a PIA... 5:4 (think 8x10 frame), 4:3 (conventional PC monitor and TV), 3:2 (4x6 print), 16:9 (widescreen, hi-def TV). ![]() |

Yep, I find myself quite annoyed by the lack of a standard here. I shoot only 3:2 because that is what I print in.
