Recently received a A710.
Impressed with results but have run into a problem. My PC and laptop (Windows XP) do not recognize the drive 'E' when I attach the camera with the USB cable. Nothing wrong with the cable; it works for two other Canons that I use. Have been using a card reader to upload images. Shall be grateful for fixes/suggestion. Thank you. ![]() |

Sounds like you need a driver for your system.
Download one here- remember to select the appropriate system... ![]() http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/suppor...ersAndSoftware |

Thank you, Simon40 and wave 01
Tried installing software disk (Ver.29.0) that accompanied the camera. It aborts, does not complete the process. Visual inspection shows no scratches or any other sign of damage. When I went to the Canon website to download the driver the on-screen message stated that there was no driver for the OS! I'm running Windows XP. Encountered no problem when I installed disk for a Canon SX30IS. Baffling. |
