Anyone heard of this one yet?

It has a 4.0 MP resolution and a vari-angle LCD screen and some other little features

Flip open lcd and stuff....seems pretty cool....i can't see the controls well though....they seems different from the a60/a70

I think canon is really taking over the market for entry level digital camera. A70 is a big succes for canon and A80 is the next release which i believe will be a very hard camera to beat in the market.

The swivel LCd is a huge addition for the A80. It looks like canon G series

Don't forget canons new budget dslr. Less than a grand for a 6.3 mp dslr, man, canon looks like it is going to destroy the competition as things stand right now.

More zoom would be nice ... if they could get a 5X in there ALA Pentax (but without the noise) ... would be the ultimate digicam and HAMMER the rest of the market.

That Pentax woul dhave sold BUCKETLOADS bu tthe noise is shocking. I am certain there is a market there to be tapped.

hmm how much is the A70 then? im in the uk so diff prices

thats about £313 and the A70 is in shops for £300 here

no better zoom. nothing new.. and what the hell is the flipping lcd good for?

I don't think it's worth buying that cam for that price...
