Doespictures from Canon A80 have also a resolution 300 dpi?

A80 has a maximal resolution of 2272 x 1704... dpi don't mean anything when you take the picture... Also, it probably isn't the right term, but its agreed on that its an indicator for the print quality.

For example, if you want to print a picture at a size of 4x6 using your A80 at max resolution, it would mean you'd have 379 x 426 dpi in your picture. In order to get film quality, you need 300dpi, tho the human eye probably can't say that many. If you were to print the same picture at a size of 8x10, the result would be 227 x 213 dpi...

When checking if a picture will look good, I always suggest using the smallest number of dpi(actually ppi) to have an idea, that way the result can only be a bit better.
