Do you happen to know the URL to the comparison? I cannot find it...

Bottom line .. what do you want it for ??
Both will take great pictures under most conditions. Taking flash pics .. the A80 is better. (although not perfect) A400 is smaller, lighter .. would therefore be taken out and used more than say a heavier/bulkier camera (I replaced my A20 just for that reason). I took my S400 out to an office get together yesterday .. slipped it in my pants pocket .. took some pictures and printed them out today. People were blown away by the color/clarity of the pics .. most people didn't know I had a camera with me. The S400 is truly an amazing camera. |

I don't feel that it will .. I personally don't think these built in flashes are much good for more than capturing a couple of people within 6 - 8 feet of you in a crowded room. It's all down to power .. flash and battery. The more powerful the flash, the greater the risk for over exposing the subjects closer to the camera. The lesser # of pics you'll get per charge .. it's all a matter of balance.
Equate it to 35 point and shoot cameras .. were you ever overly happy with flash pics from them ?? |
