I saw the Canon A80 at Circuit City last week for $299.00.

Sounds like a Steal to me! My girlfriend Loves hers & the images she does are outstanding!

That's also the price at Best Buy, Costco, and other stores - reflects a mfr. price drop, I suspect.

You can get it at buydig.com now for only US $ 258.95 shipped. Should have waited, got mine last week for $ 272.95 also from buydig.

just ordered from costco cause it's easy to return stuff there if need be, but costco also give you a soft case and a battery recharger and 4 aa batts too. which other stores sell for about $40-45 bucks.

Furthermore, if you're a Costco member, you also have a free lifetime (of your membership) warranty that will refund or replace the camera if you have any problems anytime. Just take it into any Costco, whether they stock it or not in the store, to take advantage of this. We buy all of our electronics there for that reason, and have used this several times. Try that one at Best Buy, or even Sam's Club!

Do you know if the offer at Costco for the Canon A80 is a web exclusive?

Old Rooster Jul 8, 2004 4:33 AM

My Costco doesn't carry it in the store, so I had to use the Web. Mailing was about $11. However, you can return it to the store if you don't like it, and they will refund the total, including mailing (this is spelled out on the website). So, go ahead and try it out for a couple of weeks, and compare it to others if you want. Suggestion - don't open anything sealed, like the CD, manualand batteries (use your own AA's). The CF card isn't sealed, nor is the camera. The manual is available online. This is what I did, and, after 3 weeks, I couldn't part with it.
