All,
I have just bought the Digital Ixus 400 version if this camera (I am based in the UK) and am generally happy with it. Unfortunately I dropped it the day after I bought it, and it is making a noise which I am not sure it should - after depressing the shoot button there is a mechanical pulsing that seems to be related to focusing, that lasts for a second or so. Is this normal? Or will I need a repair? Thanks in advance for (hopefully) putting my mind at rest! Jon |

I have the IXY400, which is the JDM version of the camera. I have not dropped it, and it does make the clicking noise like an insect when focusing. Seems to focus very well, so one must assume all is well
