Hello to all,

I have recently bought a Canon S3 IS and I've noticed some problems.

I'm having problems when transferring large video files (say like above 500Mb) from the camera to my PC. I'm using the USB cable that come with the camera, my PC has Windows XP, the camera is correctly detected and installed as Plug'n'Play and I use the "Scanner and Camera Wizard" from XP to do the transfer. The card is a SanDisk Extreme II with 1Gb but it has happened with another one from takeMs. All the photos are correctly transfered but when it comes to the video file the transfer becomes slower and about 99% or even 100% of the transfer an error occurs and the file is not transfered. Something like "unable to transfer the file. Skip, Cancel or Try Again". The only way I don't have problems is using a card reader. But shouldn't this problem occur? Should I suspect that there is some kind of malfunction?

One other issue I've noticed is that I can ear perfectly on my video recordings the sound of the motor when zooming. I've read on some reviews that this shouldn't happen. Can anyone give me some feedback on this?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.
