I'm getting a second camera (first is an SLR) that will be small enough not to be left at home. i also want some control over the shots. it sounds like the S500 has a manual mode. can anyone speak to how easy it is to use? do those of you with the S50 actually use the many different creative modes? are they easy to use?
thanks, pam |

I had a close look at the S50 but went for the S500 instead because of size and weight. If you want lots of manual options go for the S50. If you want a small point and shoot pocketable cam with some manual controls go for the S500. You can adjust exposure, ISO and white balance. The picture quality between the two appears to be very similar in most cases. I'm very pleased with the picture quality on mine.
