I found a single piece of paper in my S2 box the other day telling me that the camera cannot download images to the computer if there more than 1000 images in it, and you use MacOS X. You should then use a card reader.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"For windows XP it also states 1000 images, but nothing about a card reader fixing the problem.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Looks like that number is lower for some USB ports.

I bought an S2 last week, and tried to download my first 30 shots (on a 1MB card) yesterday. The camera stopped downloading via a USB2 connection after the first image. Restarting it caussed further errors with the Zoombrowser sofware crashing.

I then tried USB1.1. It warned me that it would be slow, then behaved perfectly. All 30 images downloaded with no problems.

The manual warns that if there are any other devices connected via USB then this may cause problems.
