does this canon G2 ac power adapter / battery charger have one of those switches so that you can choose the voltage either 220 or 110 ?
I may be getting a G2 from the US but over here the voltage is differtent so it's sort of important :? |

No, there isn't a switch. I used my G2 in Europe (Italy to England) this past May and all i did was plug into the wall outlet adapter. The internals must sense the 110 or 220 voltage & charge the battery accordingly...Harvey ![]() |

Giov,
The AC adaptor is an auto-sensing type and WILL work just fine with 110-240 volts. The only thing you might need is a physical plug adaptor, but what I usually have is just another cord. The adaptor is really two parts... a cord which plugs into the wall at one end and the other into the transformer (I guess that's what it is called) and the second part has the transformer at one end and a cable which plugs into the camera at the other end. It's pretty standard really, and I have those cables for North America, Europe and Asia (as I travel often). Do not worry. |
