G2 Lensmate or Cannon lens adapter

Hope somone here can give me some insight on the LensMate and the regular Canon LA-DC58 lens adapter G1 /G2. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to one or the other? :wink: First and fore most important is I want lens protection.
