G3 Remote Control
I need some advice on using the remote control on the G3. Whenever I try to take a picture, it seems that by the time the shutter goes we've already moved away. It takes way too long and there's no warning about when it is going to go.

Are there any solutions to this problem or do we need to use the timer feature instead? At least then, we'll hear the beep when the shutter is about to go.

there is a menu option "wireless delay" i think this is what you may be looking for. but i don't own this camera, so i'm not completely sure

It's exactly that. Then you can choose between 3 options, 0, 2 or 10 seconds for delay.

Thanks guys, but I've already tried that. The timing delay works, but you still have no warning of when the shutter is going to release. Is there an audible feature that you can turn on for the remote, as there is for the self timer?

Doesn't anyone have a solution for this?

Looks like Max from the Netherlands is the winner.

He suggested using both the "ST AND RC, both on 10sec in the setup menu, the RC triggers the camera in ST mode, the ST sound rings/beeps/whatever-you-told-My Camera-to sound-s and voila! (or: > CHEESE!)."

I'll try it and see how it goes.

The truth is out there. :D
