guys, cant watch my videos (.thm) on the pc which are clicked by my canon ixus 860.. any software to convert them to avi n then save it too on a disc??
plz help

.thm files are not a movie, they are a thumbnail picture of the first frame of the movie.

Digital cameras typically record two files per movie, the thumbnail eg dsc000001.thm and the actual movie, with the same name, different extension, eg dsc000001.avi ( or .mov or .mpg or whatever format your camera records movies in)

When you look at the sizes , one is obviously much larger than the other..

The thumbnail files showsthe first frame of the movie ( its really a jpg file ) so when reviewing the files on the camera, the camera shows the thumbnail for the movie, which is quicker than loading maybe a 2gb movie, stripping the first frame andthen displayingthat.

Find the real movie file (hint it will be the really large file ending in .avi or .mov or whatever format your camera records movies in), and copy to your hard drive.

There is lots of freeware available, try
