Hi,
I'm considering a memory upgrade for my Canon A80 and now I'm wondering if it's of any use to pay some more for a high-speed card. Does anyone have experience with (or knowledge of) combinations of memory card and this camera? Thanks! Tim |

This website reviews CF card performance in digital SLR's. While the A80 is not in this category, I would assume the cards that are faster in those would also be faster in an A80. For myself I am thinking about a Sandisk Extreme 1GB or 2GB but then again I have a DSLR and that might be overkill for an A80.

To tim; I also own the A80. I use a 1GB 40x sandisk card and unless you do a lot of action pix dont spend the extra $$ for it.You wont see the diff. from the high speed card and a slower one in this unit.I do see a diff. in using my G2. but cant tell it in the A80.Tealblue
